LOD of Team Dignitas on his Contribution to the Team
Team Dignitas have only recently released their roster for the upcoming North American season. One addition to the team is Benjamin “LOD” deMunck, who has spoke about his contributions to the team recently.
Initially, he was playing with EnVyUs, although there was some question over whether he would be staying there long term. There had been some friction between players in EnVyUs, which was starting to take its toll on the team mentality. LOD puts this down to a clash of personalities that was ultimately holding back the team.
While he stated he was grateful for the time that EnVyUs had given him to grow, he felt it was time to move on to Team Dignitas. The team is in the middle of spending time together in Korea to secure their new ethic and mechanics. LOD jested that he sucked at the game and the rest of Team Dignitas really outshone him by comparison.
With some massive names on the Team Dignitas roster for the upcoming season, it’s understandable that he would feel some trepidation. They have names like Ssumday and Chaser making up the rest of the team, both highly decorated competitive players. Ssumday may feel like a fish out of water though, as this will be his first competitive season outside of Korea.
Many Korean players make the move to the Chinese scene but Ssumday wanted to implant himself into a brand new culture. Team Dignitas are well known for nurturing players into new roles and cultures, so there’s no better team for Ssumday to be doing this with.
It will be exciting to see how Team Dignitas preform in the upcoming NA season, who knows what their latest member will bring. One thing’s for sure, the members of Team Dignitas will have that World Championship on their mind.
